Current Volunteer Opportunities
Program Support Volunteers
Assist with daily activities such as cooking classes, literacy lessons, arts and crafts, or life skills workshops. Your presence provides one-on-one encouragement to members and allows staff to run smoother, more engaging sessions. Whether it’s once a week or once in a while, your time is deeply valued.
Administrative Support
Prefer to help from behind the desk? Assist with office tasks like preparing mailings, organizing program materials, or managing supply areas. You’ll help streamline our operations and create a well-run environment that benefits our members every day.
Outing Companions
Join our members as they venture out into the community; helping with mobility, conversation, and decision-making during trips to restaurants, parks, grocery stores, and more. These outings reinforce real-world skills like budgeting, manners, and safe navigation.
Special Event Helpers
Be part of the energy that makes PEP celebrations special! Event volunteers are essential behind the scenes helping with decorating, greeting guests, or serving on planning committees for fundraisers like our annual Gala. You can also organize a fun day for our members or coordinate a day of service at PEP. Past events have included:

Job Skills Mentors
Support members as they build workplace confidence by helping them practice tasks like rolling silverware, assembling mailings, or organizing materials. These small wins build toward larger goals like supported employment or volunteering.
Facility Maintenance or Garden Crew
If you enjoy fixing things and rolling up your sleeves, volunteer to help with general upkeep, minor repairs, and keeping PEP’s building safe and welcoming. Your skills and time make a big difference in maintaining a comfortable space for everyone.
Our garden is one of our members’ favorite spaces and plays a big role in their cooking classes. If you have a green thumb or simply enjoy being outdoors, your help with planting, weeding, watering, and caring for the PEP Garden makes a real difference. It’s a rewarding way to connect with nature while making PEP’s environment inviting for all.
